Summer greetings from my Millbrook Studio! I am off again next week to exhibit in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Up until last year, it was unbearably hot at the show. I am hoping this will be a repeat of last years perfect temperature and sunny skies and purported attendance of 500,000 people. Hard to believe. I returned a few weeks ago from shows in Milwaukee and Des Moines. I was thrilled to be an award winner at the Lakefront show in Milwaukee and while I was there I had a chance to visit the recently acquired extensive collection of my work hanging at Dolmen Life Sciences in the Third Ward. Another treat was to visit one of my etchings, purchased last year, and hanging in a Frank Lloyd Wright designed house. Pictures of these are below, as well as one of an enthralled audience at a printmaking demonstration I was asked to do at the Des Moines Arts Festival. Click on a cropped image below to see the full frame and scroll through them. I am really looking forward to exhibiting again at the South University Art Fair in Ann Arbor, I hope the weather will be as glorious as it was last year. As a special treat, I will be bringing with me for sale some of my favourite etchings from my personal archives.
At the show, I will be in Booth #E70. In May, a cousin of mine was married in London. Evelyn, the boys and I attended and also took the opportunity to spend a week on the Isle of Wight. Here is a picture from the trip: |
