This is an unframed print and an original etching, aquatint and watercolour.
For many years I would go trekking in the fall in a wilderness area now called Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park. I would go with my friend Ken, who had a cottage in the area and some etchings would always result from these trips. I often would would them after the birds and animals that I expected to but didn't see in that beautiful landscape.
The etchings displayed on this site are all created by me in my Millbrook, Ontario studio.
Each etching plate is hand inked, wiped, and printed on Arches Cover 270 gsm acid-free 100% rag etching paper using my manual Praga etching press.
The etching inks used are from Graphic Chemical & Ink Co. in Chicago and from Charbonnel Inks in France.
All of my prints are limited editions.
Unframed etchings can be sent flat (smaller images) or gently rolled in sturdy mailing tubes that ensure they arrive in good condition.
