The Never Ending Search for Charlie's Moose
Image Size: 13" x 23 1/4"
This is an unframed print and an original etching, aquatint and watercolour.
I built a studio high on a hill in the bush near Algonquin Park. My distant neighbour was a scruffy bachelor called Charlie fed a large moose which was living in a swampy part of his large property. Occasionally he would take me out to his fields to show me this moose, I never did meet it but do see the tracks it left behind..
All etchings displayed on this site are all created by me in my Millbrook, Ontario studio.
Each etching plate is hand inked, wiped, and printed on Arches Cover 270 gsm acid-free 100% rag etching paper using my manual Praga etching press.
The etching inks used are from Graphic Chemical & Ink Co. in Chicago and from Charbonnel Inks in France.
All of my prints are limited editions.
Unframed etchings can be sent flat (smaller images) or gently rolled in sturdy mailing tubes that ensure they arrive in good condition.
